Twin SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) refers to a specific type of telescope configuration used in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence. It involves two identical radio telescopes separated by a large distance, typically several kilometers.
The twin telescopes work together to scan the radio spectrum for signals that may be of extraterrestrial origin. By coordinating their observations, the telescopes can distinguish between real signals and background noise and make more accurate measurements.
Twin SETI telescopes have been used in several studies and projects dedicated to the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, including the Breakthrough Listen project, which is currently scanning one million nearby stars and 100 nearby galaxies for evidence of technological civilizations.
